NSF AccessComputingÌýprovides a nationwide resource to increase the participation of people with disabilities in computing education and careers by supporting educators, employers, professional organizations, and other stakeholders to develop more inclusive programs and share effective practices.
NSF AccessComputing Team members
- engage in an online community of peers and mentors to help guide you through transitions to college, graduate school, and employment
- receive information from ±·³§¹óÌý´¡³¦³¦±ð²õ²õ°ä´Ç³¾±è³Ü³Ù¾±²Ô²µ staff about paid internships, research experiences, and other work-related opportunities
- attend ±·³§¹óÌý´¡³¦³¦±ð²õ²õ°ä´Ç³¾±è³Ü³Ù¾±²Ô²µÌýevents and activities
- communicate with professionals in computing fields
- are eligible to receive funding to attend professional conferences
Eligibility
College andÌýgraduate students interested in increasing the participation of people with disabilities in computing in the United States are eligible to be ±·³§¹óÌý´¡³¦³¦±ð²õ²õ°ä´Ç³¾±è³Ü³Ù¾±²Ô²µÌýTeam members. Participants must demonstrate an interest in pursuing professional careers in computing fields. These fields include systems designers, computer scientists, information professionals, software developers, information systems analysts, technology teachers, computing faculty, and other computing professionals.
